Local organization recognize local clergy

Local clergy members are being recognized for serving the community.

On Tuesday the Kiwanis Club celebrated Clergy Appreciation Month by giving back to religious leaders in our community.

Clergy were invited to attend a free luncheon and presentation with a special keynote speaker who talked about the challenges clergy face and the vital roles they play in their communities.

One member of the club says this gives back to religious people who serve our community every day…

“Many of these clergy, they don’t just work for their congregation, but they work in the community, volunteering and supporting anyone who does come through their doors.”

The club has held Clergy Appreciation Day for more than 30 years.
