Local Lions Clubs raise money to benefit Hurricane Harvey victims
TOMAH, Wis. (WKBT) — Local efforts to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Harvey are continuing with local Lions Clubs.
The Tomah, Warrens and Oakdale Lions Clubs teamed up this weekend to collect monetary donations in Tomah.
Lions Club leaders say donations will be sent to Lions Club members in southern Texas to be distributed however needed, and, as those leaders will tell you, every dollar counts.
“Our weekend here is beautiful. Today is sunny. Those folks in Houston are probably under three feet of water and worrying about things like medication and where their next paycheck is coming from and how their house is, their loved ones, or their pets are,” said Lions Club District 27-D2 Governor Pat Hart.
The Lions Club donation drive is over, but you can mail donations to the club through next Saturday. Mail your monetary donations to:
Wisconsin Lions District 27-D2.
