Local Lions Club is spreading holiday cheer, one gift basket at a time

People from a local community were out delivering fruit baskets on Saturday.

The Lions Club of Galesville is making sure everyone is thought of this holiday season.

On Friday night fruit baskets were assembled at the Common Market to be delivered today.

Approximately 50 baskets are being gifted to the elderly and people with disabilities.

They also deliver baskets to spouses of club members who have passed away.

It’s a special way to share holiday cheer.

“They really look forward to seeing us, and it puts a smile on their face. They really appreciate what we do, and that’s our motto, to serve our community,” Tom Goller, Lions Club member, said.

The Lions Club raises money throughout the year for this cause.

They have been delivering fruit baskets for over 20 years.
