Local health clinic “sprouting” with some help from a La Crosse area foundation
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A local health clinic is “sprouting” after some help from a La Crosse area foundation.
The Sprout for Kids Foundation is a non-profit started by Pearl Street Brewery and On Three Printing and Design in La Crosse.
The foundation has helped organizations like Habitat for Humanity and The Boys and Girls Club in the past.
But the 2020 fundraising year is focused on raising money for the Northside Neighborhood Clinic, located inside Northside Elementary School in La Crosse.
The clinic provides free medical care to students at Northside, and Coulee Montessori, but with support from the Sprout for Kids Foundation they’ll be expanding services to the entire Northside Community.
“We’re very happy to be here and have it expand into the neighborhood, because the Northside is a place where they’re a little immobile and this allows them some easy access to medical care,” said Dr. Teddy L. Thompson, the man who runs the neighborhood clinic along with his medical team.
The Sprout for Kids Foundation has put over $120,000 into the La Crosse Community since 2015.
