Winona first-grader collects over 700 masks for her elementary school
WINONA, Minn. (WKBT) – A young girl from Winona is proving everyone can make a difference.
Jenna See, a first-grader at Jefferson Elementary School, helped organize a face mask drive for the school’s Parent-Teacher Association.
She had a goal of just 100 masks but ended up gathering over 700.
Jenna said helping others is important to her.
“I got the idea because I thought the school might need some extra masks,” Jenna said. “I want to help my friends out and the whole school and the classrooms.”
The masks will be used for students who forgot theirs at home as a way to have something a little more fun to wear than the disposable ones the school has on hand.
