LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A local organization is making sure everyone has the opportunity to vote in the elections.
The Disability Action Network (D.A.N.) hosted a voter education and registration event for people with disabilities on Thursday.
It provided information about voting rights, accessibility options, and gave attendees an opportunity to register to vote.
By making their voices heard, people with disabilities can influence what services and resources they need.
Their vote has an important impact on our community.
“People with disabilities need to be able to guide some of that work, so people can better understand what the needs are for everybody. So we can have an inclusive and engaged community for people of all abilities,” said Nathan Hundt, D.A.N. Board Member.
D.A.N. promotes awareness and advocacy throughout six counties in our region, including La Crosse, Buffalo, and Monroe.
