Local entrepeaneuers ‘take flight’ in the business world
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Some local entrepreneurs are ready to spread their wings in the business world.
11 business owners just finished the Coulee CO.STARTERS business start-up training program.
The nine-week program offers up-and-coming entrepreneurs with training and advice from fellow business owners.
To celebrate their completion of the program, the organizers held a Start Up Flight Night at a new co-work space in downtown La Crosse.
The program’s participants showed off their ideas, competing for prizes ranging from cash to free professional services.
One of the participants in the program says the things he learned helped move his company from a dream into a reality.
“Kind of plot out my business. Kind of look through my goals through a weekly basis, from monthly and yearly, and kind of help rethink everything I’ve been doing from transition from a hobby to an actual business,” said the owner of Sigurd Canoe Company Jamie Cooper.
The program starts back up in June. To apply, head to www.couleeco.com.
