Local drug treatment facility expands to better serve growing need

A national organization with an office in Onalaska is expanding its drug treatment services to combat the area’s drug problem.

It’s been just over four years since Addiction Medical Solutions opened its doors in Onalaska.

The company helps addicts overcome their heroin and opiate addictions.

With the growing need for treatment, the clinic renovated its space to help better serve its nearly 400 patients.

“We just kind of reworked the whole  building to make it a lot more efficient so that when people come into our clinic, either to get admitted or to have daily dosing, that we can make it as efficient as possible,” said AMS Exec. Dir. Pat Ruda.

Addiction Medical Solutions has five branches across the country with two of them being in Wisconsin.
