Local candidate talks about children’s healthcare with families
The Supreme Court is delaying arguments for the current Healthcare lawsuit that is in front of them
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – The democratic candidate for Minnesota’s First Congressional district is talking to families about healthcare for children.
Dan Feehan is challenging Congressman Jim Hagedorn for his seat in the House of Representatives.
Feehan recently talked with parents about their concerns for their insurance and healthcare if parts fo the Affordable Care Act are struck down.
The Supreme Court is delaying arguments for the current Healthcare lawsuit that is in front of them. Feehan says the lawsuit, which Hagedorn supports, would threaten rural hospitals across southern Minnesota.
“They’re not just stories, they’re real people’s lives. And they are symbolic of thousands of people lives across southern Minnesota who have pre-existing conditions, who are worried about going backwards to a place where they’re not protected by healthcare anymore,” said congressional candidate Dan Feehan.
In response, Congressman Hagedorn said in part, “I do support replacement of Obamacare with nationwide insurance competition, price transparency so patients can shop for medical care, and high-risk pools to ensure timely, quality healthcare for all, including those with pre-existing conditions.”
