Local band raises money for school music programs
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — A local band is showing its appreciation for school music programs.
Music students at Holmen High School were in for a surprise at their orchestra concert.
80’s cover band, Last Call, presented a check for $6,000 to the high school’s music program.
Earlier this month the band had its first annual fundraiser to benefit local school music programs.
Their goal is to get kids interested in music and make sure schools have the resources they need.
“We all are musicians, we all were in the local area high school music programs around here as well. We know that funds are always tight for music programs, it would just be nice to help them out,” Band drummer Chad Lafleur, said.
The band wants to continue fundraising for local music programs.
They plan to hold another event sometime this spring or summer.
