Lobsterfest to help make improvements at La Crosse park
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A local Rotary Club is closer to its goal of $50,000 to build an outdoor classroom in La Crosse.
Rotary Club of La Crosse East held its third annual Lobsterfest today.
Community members were to enjoy a lobster meal or barbeque at the Cogan Air hanger.
Proceeds from the event will continue to support improvements at Chad Erickson Memorial Park, including the outdoor classroom.
“We’re looking to get involved in the community both locally and internationally. Raising money and being able to support one of our beautiful parks in the city– it really means a lot to us and it’s one of our passions,” said Natalie Olsen, president of Rotary East.
About 300 lobsters were flown in fresh from Maine for the event.
