‘Lights Over North La Crosse’ this weekend
Tree lighting, celebration of north side Saturday at Copeland Park
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Holiday lights will soon be shining at Copeland Park.
The annual “Lights Over North La Crosse” event is Saturday night. This year’s festivities include the lighting of the trees, hot chocolate, s’mores cooked over a bonfire, and of course — Santa Claus.
The event is organized every year by the North La Crosse Business Association.
Nick Roush, president of the Association, hopes the event is as successful as it has been in the past.
“We’ve had lots of people show up in the past,” said Roush. “Fingers crossed we’ll have great weather for Saturday and things will work out the same.”
The event will kick off at 5 p.m. at the north end of Copeland Park, on Copeland Avenue and Clinton Street. It’s free and open to the public.
