A look at severe weather reports from Tuesday afternoon and night. Rainfall was in the .50″ to 1.25″ for most, but over 2.00″ fell in parts of NE Iowa and SE Minnesota.
A cold front has pushed east across the region and will take the light rain and snow showers with it this evening. Otherwise, skies clear tonight with colder lows in the mid 20s to low 30s. Blustery breeze will make it feel even chillier.
Windy and chilly Thursday with mostly cloudy skies again taking over. There could even be some brief light snow showers or flurries north. Highs will only be in the upper 30s to low-mid 40s. Winds will be from the SW to W around 15-30 mph, with gusts of 40-50 mph possible… prompting a WIND ADVISORY from 10 AM to 7 PM.
Still breezy Friday with mostly to partly cloudy skies and highs in the low-mid 40s. Staying chilly for Easter weekend with highs mainly in the low-mid 40s. Saturday looks dry, then a slight chance of showers Sunday afternoon. Chance of light rain or mix Sunday night into Monday with highs Monday also in the low-mid 40s. Keep in mind the average high in La Crosse this time of year is around 60F!
Looking Ahead… Still cool Tuesday with highs in the upper 40s, then breezy and a little warmer next Wednesday with highs in the low-mid 50s. There could also be some rain showers around the middle of next week. Warmer next Thursday with highs in the 55-60F range.
Have a wonderful Wednesday night! -Bill Graul
