LGBTQ holds annual breakfast and membership meeting

More community outreach labeled as goal for 2015

7 Rivers LGBTQ connection took a look back at accomplishments over the past year and looked forward to new goals set for 2015 Saturday.

Members as well as people in the community were encouraged to attend the breakfast at the Lunda Center on Western Technical College’s campus.

This year, the move to a new building and re-branding were highlighted at the event.

Next year, the LGBTQ hopes to make a bigger impact in the community.

“Take every opportunity we can to talk to groups and explain some of the challenges that our local community is facing.   LGBTQ but also allies, parents who are struggling, we want to let people know we are here and a resource, we want to make people’s lives better and so the more people know we’re here and what we do, the more we can help,” said 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection executive director Jackson Jantzen.
