Legion Baseball: La Crosse 52 rallies but comes up short against Appleton

The La Crosse Post 52 Legion Baseball team trailed Appleton by five runs going into the bottom of the 6th inning on Thursday evening, but Daylin Haney cut the deficit to three with a line drive base hit into centerfield, plating two runs.

Then later in the inning, Kyle Keppel crushed one off the left field wall, as Post 52 put up a four-spot in the inning. However, that’s the closest they would get as La Crosse’s rally fell short at the Lumber Yard.

The Boober Parizek Classic continues on Friday with Onalaska taking on Appleton at 11 a.m., and La Crosse Post 52 squaring off against Stillwater at 6;30 p.m.
