WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) – Today a local organization started a new event for a good cause.

Legendary Customs LLC and Painters Plus in Holmen hosted the1st annual Legendary Freedom Car and Bike show today at the La Crosse Interstate Fairgrounds in West Salem.

The event is for area car owners to show off their work and for enthusiasts to enjoy that work.

More than 180 cars were on display.

The show being held at the fairgrounds helps allow for social distancing.

With safety being a key factor, Legendary Customs owner Chris Meyer knows camaraderie comes in a close second, “A lot of people haven’t run into people that they see each and every year. So this a great time just to see old friends, see great cars, and have some good times.”

More than 600 people attended.

All proceeds from the event are going towards the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse and WAFER.
