Leeser’s final shot lifts Holmen over Onalaska

May not have gotten shot off before buzzer

Holmen sophomore Jase Leeser hit a buzzer-beating jumper to lift Holmen boys basketball to a 51-50 home win over Onalaska Tuesday night.

Or did he?

In slow-motion replay, it appears that when the buzzer sounds, the ball is still in Leeser’s hands.

With no ability to review the play, the result gives Holmen a huge upset victory in the MVC and catapults them to fourth in the conference at 3-3. Onalaska is now 2-3 in conference play.
