LCT chooses representative to throw out first pitch at Brewers game
The La Crosse Community Theater collected the most money in a fundraising contest
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A representative from an area non-profit will be throwing the first pitch at a Brewers game this summer.
The La Crosse Community Theater will be representing the city at the 18th annual La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park on June 25th.
They were one of ten organizations to take part in a fundraising contest.
The group which collected the most money won the honors of throwing the first pitch. LCT raised almost $7,200.
The representative for the theater says the opportunity wouldn’t be possible without the help of the community.
“I’m a huge baseball fan, always have been. Between theater and baseball, my two great loves in life, so they put it out there and our volunteers and our patrons and our donors really responded to that,” said La Crosse Community Theater Artistic Dir. Greg Parmeter.
Tickets for the La Crosse Area Day on June 25, 2015 are on sale now at www.lacrosseareaday.com.
