La Crosse’s ReNEW looking for projects
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Volunteers in our community are looking for projects to work on, hoping to make La Crosse a better place to live.
Residents in the Lower Northside and Depot neighborhoods are being asked to submit simple projects to the ReNew program.
The Habitat for Humanity program has the goal of completing 30 projects this year.
Volunteers will offer a wide range of help, like painting, landscaping and general yard cleanup.
“And so the idea is working with home owners and working with volunteers, we can come into the that neighborhood, we can make a big difference. We can inspire people to do things and hopefully make lower northside and depot neighborhood a better place to live, work and play,” said Kahya Fox, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity La Crosse.
