La Crosse’s Northside Elementary to support Afghan children at Fort McCoy during donation drive

Items can be dropped off at the school office.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Students in La Crosse are coming together to help Afghan children at Fort McCoy.

Northside Elementary and Coulee Montessori schools will host ‘Fill It Up Friday’.

There are about 18-hundred Afghan children at Fort McCoy.

Items in most need include summer and fall seasonal clothing, blankets and toys.

Donated items can be new or like new, but should be age-appropriate for newborns up to 18-years-olds.

Money will also be accepted.

The drive starts at 7:45 a.m. and continues until 3:30 p.m.

Items can be dropped off at the school office.
