La Crosse’s Monitor Street being re-marked to include bike lanes
Part of Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Traffic along another of La Crosse’s streets will slow down this week as crews begin re-marking the road.
Monitor Street, from Rose Street to Lang Drive, is being converted from four to three lanes later this week.
According to the city’s Engineering Department, bike lanes will be added to the sides of the road. The change is part of the 2012 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
The street will remain open to traffic while pavement markings are being changed, and crews will work at night to limit disruptions.
