La Crosse YMCA hopes to raise $1 million in annual campaign

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Area Family YMCA launched its annual fundraising campaign Friday with the hope of raising $1 million to meet the needs of the greater La Crosse area.

“At the Y, we dream of a future in which more children are nurtured and developed, more adults are proactively taking care of their health, more teens are provided a safe, encouraging environment, and more families are creating a stronger bond,” said the YMCA in a statement. “But we cannot do this alone.”

The Y counts on donations to keep operating. Every dollar stays local and supports programs including the youth food program, flexible pricing and LIVESTRONG at the Y, which is a free 12-week program to help cancer survivors.
