La Crosse to be featured in Public TV program

'Around the Corner' to air April 3; premier in La Crosse March 22

The best of La Crosse will be highlighted in a Public Television special.

Milwaukee Public Television’s “Around the Corner” was in town in September to see some of the best sights La Crosse has to offer.

The crew took in the natural beauty, stopped by some businesses, and even joined in at Oktoberfest.

The special airs on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. on Wisconsin Public Television (WPTV) and will hopefully become another draw for tourists.

“The show plays in the Milwaukee area, in Chicago, in Indiana and other parts of Wisconsin as well, so it’s just another opportunity to brand us, to market us to our audience of travelers from the upper Midwest,” said the Exec. Dir. of the La Crosse Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Dave Clements.

There’s a premiere set for Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts in La Crosse.  It’s free and open to the public.
