La Crosse students use milk jugs to make igloo
Project comes as students learn about Inuit culture
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Some area kids are getting creative as they learn about other cultures.
Preschool students from Spence Elementary in La Crosse recently built a ‘milk jug igloo’.
The small shelter is in a classroom in the school.
It’s made from milk containers that the class has been collecting for about a month.
The igloo came as part of lessons about Inuit culture, the indigenous people of northern North America.
The igloo is used a reading space for the students.
