La Crosse Students Get Head Start at Future Center
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Logan High School was the the host site for the La Crosse Promise Future Center Tuesday.
Over 40 companies, colleges, and labor unions were in the gymasium talking with high school students.
The Future Center was organized by The La Crosse Promise, an independent organization from local school districts.
In their 7th year, the goal of these career fairs are to connect students with local organizations, and to help them plan their near and distant futures.
“To see students come in to High School and to be able to work with them now, all the way through is incredibly rewarding. You get to see them just forming ideas about what they might do after they graduate to see them applying for a job or applying to go to a college or to go do job shadows or things like that,” said Director Brian Liesinger.
The La Crosse Promise will next be at Central High School on March 26th. For more information on The La Crosse Promise or their next fair, visit https://lacrossepromise.org.
