La Crosse Riverfest honors military veterans with free breakfast
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — La Crosse’s Riverfest honored the men and women who have served the nation with a free breakfast Military Appreciation Day on Friday.
Festival Foods has hosted coffee and donuts in the past for veterans, and Friday was no exception. for veterans and their guests on
“Festival Foods does coffee and donuts every Friday morning from 8 to 11 in their conference room, and it’s open to all veterans,” said Tom Hundt, the 2006 Riverfest commodore. “So I talked to the manager, and he said he’d be happy to move it down here for Riverfest.”
Veterans of all branches of the military attended the celebration, many of whom are members of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
