LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The Fat Porcupine Noodle Bar is permanently closed effective immediately due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Fat Porcupine Noodle Bar, known for its Driftless Ramen, was located at 127 4th Street South in La Crosse.

According to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, owners had hoped to persevere. “But, unfortunately, there was no way we could plan for a global pandemic as we embarked on this adventure to open our dream restaurant.”

The Fat Porcupine team, Brie, Dustin, Peter & Zoa, shared how grateful they are for everyone who became their Fat Porcupine community. “For our regulars. For our guests that dined with us for the very first time in a post-COVID world. For our partners and purveyors. For our fellow restaurant industry. For our supportive friends and families. For our staff. We truly had the best team and we are so proud to call them our friends.”
