Course runs Tuesdays at March 10-May 12

La Crosse police said the free course will help participants will learn about patrol operations, investigations, use of force, and community policing.

Police say recent events in Ferguson, MO and New York are likely to come up during the program, but it hasn’t changed the academy.

Last year, 22 La Crosse residents went through the course.
