La Crosse police sergeant receives award
LCPD Detective Sergeant Linnea Miller honored
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse Police Detective Sergeant Linnea Miller received the 2015 Ken Kolb “Great Kids Starts with You” award at the La Crosse Child Maltreatment conference last week.
Sgt. Miller is a detective in the Investigative Services Bureau and works within the Sensitive Crimes Unit. She recognized for her efforts to make sure “children in the community, who have been victims of or witnessed unspeakable violence, have a voice.”
Sgt. Miller began her career with the La Crosse Police Department in January 2000. In April 2006 she was promoted to investigator and then detective sergeant in January 2008. She serves on many organizations, such as the Family Policy Board, La Crosse County Sexual Assault response Team, Domestic Abuse Reduction Team, La Crosse County Multi-Disciplinary Team, and the La Crosse Task Force to Eradicate Modern Slavery.
