La Crosse police seeing uptick in THC laced candy

La Crosse police are keeping an eye out for marijuana that looks like candy.

In the past couple of months, La Crosse police have made arrests involving THC laced gummies.

Police say the product was most likely was brought in from Colorado, where marijuana is legal.

Because the products looks like candy, police worry about potential of them getting in the wrong hands.

“The real concern is if children mistake these for candy and take them, what the consequences could be medically to that child,” Capt. Randy Rank from the La Crosse Police Dept.

If someone is found with marijuana gummies, they could be charged with possession of marijuana, or intent to deliver a controlled substance.
