La Crosse police K-9 in top 3 in Drug Detector Trials
Officer Bowe, K-9 Zaback attend USPCA annual certification testing
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse Police K-9 Zaback placed in the top three of all the police canines testing in the Drug Detector Trails.
La Crosse Police Officer Trenton Bowe and K-9 Zaback recently attended the United Sates Police Canine Association (USPCA) annual certification testing. K-9 Zaback scored 197 out of 200 possible points in the Drug Detector Trials, which measures for speed, accuracy, and obedience.
K-9 Zaback is a three-year-old German Shepard from Germany. Officer Bowe and K-9 Zaback are now certified in narcotics detection, subject apprehension, and handler protection. They work on the Department’s second shift patrol.
