La Crosse Police Department sees savings with greener squad car technology
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Greener technology in the La Crosse Police Department squad cars has provided hundreds of thousands of dollar in savings to the city.
The Department began switching over to dual fuels in 2009, with vehicles using propane and gasoline.
Last year alone the department saved nearly $115,000. Those savings are put back into the Department for things like new ballistic shields, vehicle cameras and automatic license plate readers.
