La Crosse MTU to resume collecting bus fare in May
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Municipal Transit Utility will resume collecting bus fare May 3 after taking a year off to give users a bit of COVID-19 relief.
Fares are $1.50 for adults, $1.25 for youths between 4 and 17, 75 cents for senior citizens and 75 cents for disabled persons. Fares are free for University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Western Technical College and Viterbo University students. Transfers are also free.
People can also buy tokens or bus passes.
Because the original opening date was April 1, anyone who purchased a pass for April can contact the MTU for a refund or use their April pass in May.
The Grand River Station will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday starting April 1. For more information, call the MTU office at 608-789-7350.
