La Crosse Montessori students bring history to life
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Local history comes to life for a day in La Crosse.
Students at Coulee Montessori embraced a weeks-long project focusing on pieces of local history.
They shared what they learned Thursday with their classmates and the community.
Some topics included the La Crosse rubber mills, the flood of 1965, and Nathan Myrick who was the first settler of La Crosse.
“I really want to learn about other people and events in history that happened here in La Crosse,” said student Jacob Runyon.
The students take on a project similar to this every year.
