La Crosse marine construction company expands in California

J.F. Brennan announced the acquisition of Harbor Offshore Inc. Tuesday

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A marine construction company in La Crosse is expanding its reach on the West Coast.

J.F. Brennan’s acquisition of Harbor Offshore Inc. Tuesday expands the family-owned La Crosse firm’s expertise into the areas of maritime security barriers and submarine cable installation, the latter of which can help expand land-to-sea based communication.

“This acquisition opens new geographies, positioning us to better deliver our brand of work to clients and partners,” said says Brennan President and CEO Matt Binsfeld. “It also adds new skill sets to our team, preparing us to take on and deliver high-demand work for the decades ahead.”

Brennan, which has been around since 1919, specializes in environmental remediation — the removal of pollutants and contaminants — as well as dam construction and many other areas.

Acquiring HOI means J.F. Brennan is now operating in all 50 states.
