La Crosse man sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for child porn conviction

MADISON, Wis. (WKBT) – A La Crosse man will spend more than 12 years behind bars for possession of child pornography.

U.S. District Judge William M. Conley sentenced 45-year-old Jeremy Hogenkamp to 12 years, 6 months in prison Thursday. Hogenkamp pleaded guilty to this charge on March 8.

La Crosse Police conducted a search warrant in October of 2021 following a tip regarding images uploaded into a Google Cloud account. Police found a laptop and cell phone at Hogenkamp’s place of work containing thousands of images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

At the time, Hogenkamp was already on probation for a 2011 child porn conviction.

Following his 12 1/2 year sentence, Hogenkamp will have 25 years supervision.
