La Crosse man charged with stabbing over bicycle
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — A La Crosse man was charged Tuesday after he was accused of stabbing someone in the Riverside parking ramp during a fight over a bicycle.
Robert P. Gardner, 22, was charged in La Crosse County Circuit Court with first-degree recklessly endangering safety and felony bail jumping.
According to the criminal complaint, Gardner stabbed another man in the arm Jan. 13 while they were arguing over who owned a bicycle inside the ramp. At the time, Gardner was out on bond for a possession of methamphetamine charge.
Police arrived on the scene to find the man on the southeast stairwell on level 6 of the ramp with a one-inch laceration on his shoulder. The victim was able to identify Gardner through a photo lineup.
