La Crosse Jaycees hold annual toy drive
With the pandemic affecting many people's jobs, some families may be struggling to give their kids the Christmas they deserve
LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – One of La Crosse’s favorite annual toy drives is back in action.
The La Crosse Jaycees held their yearly Toys For Toys toy drive.
This year the organization was unable to set up the usual number of donation bins in area businesses, but were able to get about 90 barrels out in the community.
The organization held the event in the parking lot of the Radisson.
With the pandemic affecting many people’s jobs, some families may be struggling to give their kids the Christmas they deserve.
“The donations and the generosity of this city have just come out more than I’ve seen it in previous, which is actually super amazing because we’ve had more kids sign up than we’ve had in previous years. We’re already over 1,300 kids signed up for this Christmas season,” said Lyndsey Langer, the 2020 President of the La Crosse Jaycees.
