La Crosse hosts High School Fishing Championship

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The FLW High School Fishing Championship is underway in La Crosse.

The three-day event runs June 24-26 on the Mississippi River. Participants will compete for two days with the top 10 teams advancing to the third and final round. The winner will be determined by the heaviest cumulative three-day weight. Teams can also qualify into the final round of the World Finals, which finishes on Saturday.

According to the event’s website, teams took off at 6 a.m. from Stoddard Ramp Park and will need to return to the Park at 1:30 p.m. for weigh-in. The limit is three bass per team.
