Homicide suspect booked into La Crosse County Jail, transferred from Peoria
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- The man accused of killing an 18-year-old in November is back in La Crosse.
Shavonte Thompson, 27, was booked into the La Crosse County Jail late Thursday night. Thompson was captured last week in Peoria County, Illinois.
Thompson is accused of shooting Javier Hall on November 2, 2019. La Crosse Police were called to the 900 block of Copeland Avenue that night for a report of a shooting. Police found Javier R. Hall (Ayers), 18, in an alley suffering from a gunshot wound. Hall was taken to a local hospital where he later died, according to La Crosse Police.
Thompson is facing a 1st degree homicide charge, as well as a 1st degree endangering safety.
