La Crosse Historical Society looking for guides
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — The La Crosse County Historical Society is looking for guides able to give tours of La Crosse history, after a trip to Guide U.
At Guide U people will learn about the La Crosse region’s history and culture and learn how to give professional tours on buses, trolleys, Hixon House and the La Crosse Area Heritage Center.
The program includes presentations from local historians and access to a library of resources.
“Guides are special ambassadors, and have a unique role in presenting balanced, thoughtful information respectfully and openly. Integrity is the key to the success of one’s tours and this program,” said the historical society in a press release.
Those interested in being a guide can apply by March 31 at lchshistory.org or contact Margaret Lichter at 608-782-1980 or margaret@lchshistory.org.
