La Crosse Family YMCA stays busy at start of 2020
Increase follows new year's resolutions for many
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – A local non-profit organization is starting off the new year with a lot more activity.
The La Crosse Family YMCA is seeing a spike in enrollment during the new year.
Staff say it is common to see a spike in January, as people set weight loss goals for the new year.
YMCA staff say they are working to keep celebrating better health and community.
“We have some fun things that we do in February with an indoor Ironman triathalon challenge and some things like that really do keep our members around, so we’re really proud that they come in for the equipment, but they stay for the community they become a part of,” said Kelsey Hess, Dahl Family YMCA member engagement director.
For people considering getting the New Year’s resolution underway, the La Crosse Family YMCA does offer a one-week free trial.
