La Crosse elementary students get a look at life in high school
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Some elementary students in La Crosse are making the jump to high school.
5th graders from Northside Elementary School joined students from Logan High School’s Interact Club Thursday.
The event gives the 5th grade student the chance to learn about what education opportunities exist when they get to High School.
The Interact Club members use their leadership skills, while providing a role model for the young students.
“We really want them to know that Logan especially is going to be a place for when they eventually get here, it’ll be like they can slip right in,” said Logan High School Interact Club member Keoni Young.
About 70 Northside Elementary students took part in the event.
