La Crosse County teams head to WIAA state basketball
LA CROSSE CO., Wis. (WKBT) – Three area basketball teams are heading Madison this week for the WIAA State basketball tournament.
La Crosse Central, West Salem and Bangor will play at this Kohl Center in Madison with hopes of making it to the championship Saturday.
If you are looking to get in on the fun, all three schools have some options to catch the action in-person.
In division two, the Riverhawks will face Westosha Central Friday about 3:15 p.m.
Central is back at state for the first time since 2019 and seeking their first title since 2017.
Student tickets are on sale at the concession stand Monday from 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Central students can also get tickets Tuesday and Wednesday at the first floor office during school hours.
A student fan bus will also be available, students must sign up by Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. with a signed permission slip.
Public tickets will be available starting Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the concession stand. The sale will then move to the first floor office starting at noon, and will ctoninues there Wednesday and Thursday.
West Salem Panthers
In division three, West Salem will face Brillion Thursday at 1:35 p.m.
West Salem is making their first appearance.
Tickets are available during school hours Tuesday and Wednesday at the school office.
And in Divison five, Bangor will face Hurly about 10:45 Friday morning.
The Cardinals are making their fourth ever appearance at state.
Tickets will be available at the high school office until 5 p.m. on Monday and again from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
There will be a fan bus for students and community members. There is no cost to ride the bus, but a ticket to the game is required.
Anyone on the bus is asked to sign up at the school office.
All games will be at the Kohl Center in Madison.
