La Crosse County housing market seeing rise

Homes sales grew by about 20-percent compared to this time last year

La Crosse County’s housing market is showing a lot of promise for the future.

That’s based on the latest numbers from the Wisconsin Realtors Association.

Homes sales grew by about 20-percent compared to this time last year, while median sale prices increased 9-percent. Area realtors credit the spike in numbers to the high demand in potential buyers.

“It’s just a strong market right now it seems to be a shortage in inventory, real low interest rates and buyers that are wanting to make a move before rates climb,” said La Crosse Area Realtors Association President Kent Gabrielsen.
