La Crosse County Health Department opens COVID-19 call center
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – There are hundreds of questions surrounding coronavirus.
To help answer them, the La Crosse County Health Department set up a call center.
It’s a place to get guidance and resources to keep you safe.
It’s run by Health Department staff and interns.
Nursing students from Western Technical College are also helping out.
Frequently asked questions include information about government-mandated orders, essential businesses, and COVID-19 symptoms.
They don’t have all the answers, but they’ll lead you in the right direction.
“We aren’t the medical persons to give specific advice, but we’re here to help them work through the steps,” said Sue Sheehan, the call center leader.
You can reach the call center Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm.
The number is 608-785-6240.
The County Health Department also posts updates on its Facebook page.
