La Crosse County Health Department compiling health-care worker list for next phase of vaccines

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse County Health Department is working with federal, state and local partners to coordinate COVID-19 vaccines for health-care workers who do not work for the Mayo Clinic Health System or Gundersen Health System.
The effort will provide a list of employers for Phase 1A and provide direct outreach when the COVID-19 vaccine is available the other employees, according to a health department news release.
Organizations that employ any of the workers on a specified list, available on the Wisconsin Department of Health Services website,
should have a designated contact person fill out a form. The form is available on a sign-up website.
When the vaccine is available to those employees, a health department staff person will reach out to the organization with a sign-up form link that will connect them to a local vaccinator, according to the news release.
Individuals who fall under Phase 1A and are not connected with a local organization also can fill out the form, and health department staffers will contact them.
The health department asked that community health-care workers and the public to limit direct calls to Gundersen and Mayo about vaccine eligibility or availability.
La Crosse County organizations who have questions about Phase 1A eligibility can contact the health department at its COVID-19 website.
