La Crosse County Health Deparment hosts new webinars to educate youth about substance abuse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Nearly one in four La Crosse County High School students reported using marijuana in their lifetime, that’s according to the La Crosse County Marijuana Trends Report. With such high numbers reported, the La Crosse County Prevention Network decided to kick off webinars to help educate parents, coaches, teachers and youth about substance abuse. To accomplish this, a series of free webinars will be happening over the next five Wednesdays, beginning next week.
“To have these tough conversations, these uncomfortable conversations so that they’re more likely to happen and more often,” said Judi Zabel, a health educator.
