La Crosse County Dairy Breakfast canceled due to COVID-19
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Organizers are canceling the 2020 La Crosse County Dairy Breakfast due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The LCDB Committee Secretary Melissa Schaub said, “We have high hopes that the “stay at home” order will be lifted by that time but we feel that farmers and businesses have been burdened enough during these tough times and need some time to get back up on their feet. But don’t give up on us or the dairy farmers! In the spirit of the Dairy Breakfast, we would like to encourage people to continue to support the dairy farmers, now more than ever. Keep buying all those delicious dairy products! Buying local whenever you can help even more! Dairy farming is still a huge component of La Crosse and surrounding counties and your buying power supports these producers directly.”
Schaub continues, “Buy that extra gallon of milk, a few more blocks of cheese, eat more ice cream, use real butter for all the cooking at home you are doing now.”
The Dairy Breakfast confirms it has a solid lead on a host farm for next year’s event scheduled for June 19, 2021.
