La Crosse County COVID-19 risk level hits lowest point point since Aug. 25, collaborative reports
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The COVID-19 risk level remains at medium this week for La Crosse County, with the disease at the lowest point since Aug. 25, according to the Coulee COVID-19 Collaborative.
“It has been two weeks with zero deaths due to COVID and this week we had zero new cases in long-term care facilities,” according to the data update the collaborative released Wednesday.
“We have adequate testing and fast turnaround times,” noted the collaborative, which is a partnership among Gundersen Health System, Mayo Clinic Health System and the La Crosse County Health Department.
The fact that COVID-19 variants are circulating across the country means “it is very important to continue to follow the practices we know work: Wash our hands, wear a mask and watch our distance.
